Somewhere between water and mist, dark forms stand without explanation. They have been here longer than memory. The water is too still, the blue too deep, the atmosphere too hushed for anything ordinary to live here.

And then, gold. Small, precise, inexplicable touches at the waterline, glowing as if from beneath the surface. L'Or du Silence does not resolve into certainty. It offers instead what the best mysteries offer: the feeling of standing at the edge of something vast and not entirely safe, and finding it beautiful anyway.
